Taxonomic notes on two species of the genus Dimorphostylis (Crustacea, Cumacea, Diastylidae) from Korea

Abstract

|
|
Through taxonomic survey of specimens collected from the coasts of Korea from 1993 to 2006, Dimorphostylis echinata Gamo, 1962 is new to Korean cumacean fauna. Especially, the adult male and female of D. echinata are described for the first time. Dimorphostylis sculpturensis Vassilenko and Tzareva, 1990 is proposed as a synonym of D. acroplicata Harada, 1960 in this research. Also, its female is redescribed for the first time in Korea.
